How to Enter

Simply complete this year's competition entry problems on the Programming Problems page:

Deadline for submission: Midnight Thursday 15th February 2018

What programming language should I use? C/C++11, Python3, Pascal or Java are accepted languages at all stages of the AIPO.

What happens after the deadline? You will be emailed to let you know if you have qualified for the final round of the contest. The contest will take place on Saturday 17th February 2018

How many people are selected for the Irish programming team after the final round? The top eight people will be selected to attend a 3 day IOI training camp here in DCU (accomodation provided) on 2nd, 3rd, 4th March 2018.

From these eight students the top four students will that will attend the IOI finals in Tsukuba, Japan in September 2018.

Competition Day

The Final Round competition will take place on Saturday 17th February 2018

It will take place in one of the Computing labs in the School of Computing, DCU.

Lunch will be provided on the day.

The Competition will take place over a 5 hour period, in which contestants try to complete as many problems as possible. Contestansts will receive points for every correct solution.

There will be prizes for first, second and third place. This is determined by a scoring system.
